Online safety
We take online safety issues very seriously. We ensure that all pupils in school receive regular e-safety lessons every half term and have whole school assemblies on e-safety.
This summer half term, we are looking at how easily pictures and comments can be shared. We are sharing this photo and then we will be looking at how far it has gone. This will help our pupils to understand the importance of e-safety and the impact of privacy settings.
Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) and Parent Zone have provided the following links for parents to look at, for more information on keeping your child safe online.
– Think U Know
– Internet Aware
– CEOP
– NSPCC: Share Aware
Children’s safe search engines
As part of our e-safety teaching we ensure that we use safe search engines that are suitable for children. Here are some examples of the different search engines that are available. Please have a look and encourage your child to use these when searching the Internet at home.
– Safe search kids
– Common Sense media
– Kids Click search engine
See the guidance below for age restrictions on these online platforms.
