Library Leader

Children sometimes like to use the library during their playtimes to explore the library to read and participate in book-related activities. The library leader(s), who will be years 5 or 6, could apply for this exciting role. 

Each term we appoint one or two Library Leaders who have to apply in writing for the role; they have to explain what their skills are and why they would be suitable for this position.

Library Leader Duties: 

• Keeping the library tidy - encouraging all users to return books to the correct place.
• Supporting younger children with their reading and reading related activities. Younger children will need closer supervision. 
• Organising the lunchtime reading sessions. This will include monitoring the library usage and modelling appropriate behaviour by demonstrating exceptional manners, consideration and care. 

Mrs Shanks will oversee this role and will be available to offer further support and guidance for the successful candidate(s).
