This year we bid goodbye to two of our academy governors - Sue Vainu and Kelly Williamson
Unfortunately two of our governors have made the decision to step down from their role on the Academy council and both will be sorely missed.
Sue has been a governor at the academy for a number of years and supported the school through numerous Ofsted inspections, the transition to joining the Trust and was an integral part of the inspection in 2019 which led to the academy's first ever 'Good' grading! Sue has also worked closely with the children in a number of roles. Sue worked with children as a Learning catalyst, supporting families with attendance, literacy and numeracy. She has also volunteered on many occasions, including school trips, FOSA run events and local events. Sue has always been a great supporter of the school and she is already missed by all!
Kelly, as well as being a member of staff, has supported the school as a governor which has allowed her to provide a real insight into the school from a member of staff's perspective. Kelly has supported the school in areas such as PE and other subject area, especially important with curriculum being at the heart of every school. Kelly does remain with us as a member of staff, however we will miss her input as part of the Academy council.
